Rise Malawi 2020 Charity Project Update!

Geoffrey’s is working with Urban Promise International to help build two girls dorms that will house 100 girls each. The dorms are going up at Malawi Rise and Mercy Care Malawi (both serving the rural areas of Malawi). These dorms will help keep the young girls in school when they are at their most vulnerable age of dropping out. Only by making sure these young girls and boys get a good enough education can we hope in turning the tide of rampant poverty.

Below are photos of the new girls dorm construction. The timber roof structure will be complete early next week and will likely be done with the iron sheets the following week. Half of the building is now complete and we are finishing plastering the entire interior of the building by next weekend.

The next phase we will be focusing on painting, exterior finishing and the final phase of electricity wiring. The final phase will be done when we are done with flooring and roofing. Check out some photos below!
